I got the Power (Adapter)🎶

After you pick the destination, you will most likely begin to pick out certain items. These items uare sually our outfits, luggage, charging cords, etc. However, I don’t hear people talking about the need to get a different power adapter.

“What’s a power adapter?”

Power adapters are essentially the end piece that plugs into the outlet for charging. Some chargers come with a detachable adapter, and some don’t. Typically chargers come like the image below and can work in some countries but not all.

It is important to know which destination holds which outlet and adapter because you need to buy a charger that fits. With high tourist areas, there is a greater chance of them having your outlet, but that might not always be the case. If you would like to know about which countries have what type of outlet, you can look on this site: https://zangra.com/en_US/faq/different-types-of-plugs-and-outlets?srsltid=AfmBOopXJP4zn1LiV5pylYiBoF54f7IcsI-3_J2ocKp8duAGqOgywXEg.

“They don’t have my end piece. Now what?”

You would need to get a converter. This is an adapter that can plug in the outlet because it made for those specifics types. You can buy that has multiple type of outlets or you can buy one specifically with only that end piece in mind. The multi converter has majority of the countries needed, but it is a very blocky item and is hard to put other things into the outlet. The specific one is typically built like any other charging device seen in the US, but it will only be good for destinations with that outlet. Which one you pick depends on your goals for travelling there. When I went to study abroad, I used the converter when I got there and bought smaller end pieces to plug in certain items, like my electronics. You don’t have to necessarily break the bank to get one, that is nice, but it could cost around 20 – 30 USD. Just thought that it is important to keep that in mind, when you are travelling.
